I studied Medicine at the University of London and Business Management at the University of Cambridge. I completed my internship in trauma and general surgery at Tel Hashomer/Tel Aviv University teaching hospital, before serving as a combat physician in two elite units of the Israeli Navy. I then emigrated to the USA in 2002 and completed a residency in Family Medicine at the Stamford Hospital/Columbia University Family Residency Program where I served as the chief resident.
I finished the University of Arizona Fellowship in 2007 and started working as the Director of Integrative Medicine at Stamford Hospital. I now run an insurance-based consultation service in Integrative Medicine, working with physicians from all over the Tri-state area. I am also an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Columbia University, where I teach a monthly seminar on botanicals to the third-year medical students. I received certification in Medical Acupuncture from SUNY Downstate Medical Center and certification in the ASCH Clinical Hypnosis. I have published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and regularly appear in local TV, radio and magazines discussing varied health topics.
