Barbara Crisp, MArch

As a design professional, Barbara brings years of both academic and practical experience to her work. Her sole proprietorship, bcrisp, is a multi-disciplined design and consulting firm focused on a diverse range of healthcare related projects. Her work explores sensory experience and perception, striving to illuminate the conditions that support and sustain well-being. She is passionate about the healthcare environment and has devoted her practice to educating her peers and clients about design as value added in nurturing the healing process.

Barbara is the author of Human Spaces: Life Enhancing Designs for Healing, Working, and Living and a contributor to multiple design related books and publications. She has been a contributor to the Fellowship at the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine since its inception. Barbara is an Adjunct Faculty in the Design School and teaches Mindfulness in the MBA program at Arizona State University.
