Pediatric Integrative Medicine Elective
The American Academy of Pediatrics recognizes the increasing use of integrative therapies for children and the Center is dedicated to providing reliable information and high quality educational resources to support training in this emerging field.
The entirely online Pediatric Integrative Medicine Elective curriculum is based on content from the Center's Fellowship program and is designed for residents. It has been recently updated by the Director of Pediatric Integrative Medicine in Residency, Joy Weydert, MD. This online 40-70 hour elective rotation offers residents from a range of specialties a chance to explore pediatric integrative medicine.
This 4-week facilitated elective will be offered in fall, 2018 and includes case-based webinars led each week by experts in their fields including Mari Ricker, MD, Associate Professor of Family Medicine at the University of Arizona, Rachel Cramton, MD, Associate Director of the Pediatric Residency Program at the University of Arizona, and Noshene Ranjbar, MD, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Arizona.
The next online pediatric integrative medicine rotation will be in the Fall of 2018. Currently scheduled from Nov. 19 to Dec. 16, 2018
