The Pain Management Project

The Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine is challenging itself to train every prescribing health care professional in Arizona on evidence-based effective integrative medicine approaches to pain management for free.

If you are an Arizona-based prescriber who is interested in learning integrative approaches to pain, receiving up to 10 hours of CME, and meeting the opioid education requirements for the Arizona Medical Board:

The data we collect will be de-identified aggregate data.

Based on the results of our 2018 study, this course was effective at improving clinician medical knowledge and self-efficacy around the use of nonpharmacologic therapies. Clinicians also reported it improved their attitudes toward chronic pain patients, increasing sense of self-efficacy around the use of nonpharmacologic therapies, and decreasing the number of opioids prescribed.
