The Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine wishes to thank Mrs. Neelam Sethi for coordinating this special event; without her efforts, we would not be here this evening. This screening offers a unique opportunity to discover the latest findings on our mind's ability to promote healing and wellness, while learning directly from Dr. Sternberg of her discovery of the healing role of lifestyle, nutrition, and stress management in healing.

The Science of Healing follows Dr. Sternberg to a village in Greece, where her personal experience of the power of place in healing inspired research that led to this film.
We join her as she explores the ruins of ancient Greek healing temples and visits science labs. In the course of her journey we learn more about the scientific basis of the mind-body connection, and the role of environment and emotion in the healing process. The program introduces viewers to research that is revealing some of the many ways the brain helps us to heal, emotionally and physically. By understanding the science behind the brain's role in healing, we can enhance our own health and discover how to create a place of peace even in troubled times.
