2010 Integrative Mental Health Conference
March 22-24, 2010 • Phoenix, AZ
The 2010 Integrative Mental Health Conference, sponsored by the Arizona Health Sciences Center at the University of Arizona and presented by the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine, is the first conference of its kind to assemble leaders in integrative mental health (IMH), creating a new field and framework with which to promote mental well-being.
Attendees will learn how to treat their patients within a new paradigm of integrative mental health care that utilizes scientifically proven alternative methods in combination with drugs and traditional therapy to address patients’ physical, psychological, and spiritual needs.
The 2010 Integrative Mental Health Conference will:
- Create an engaged and knowledgeable network of professionals from variety of domains – psychiatry, psychology, nursing, social work, and philanthropists – to spearhead this new field of integrative mental health
- Raise awareness of evidence-based uses of nutrition, mind-body practices, botanicals, dietary supplements, light, music, spirituality and energy medicine techniques as effective, non-invasive, low-cost treatments for common mental health problems
- Give mental health care providers the IMH platform and framework to promote wellness, healing, flourishing, and transformation.
