Prostate Cancer 1-Hour Course for Everyone

Receiving a diagnosis of prostate cancer can bring fears about the disease itself, its treatment, and possible side effects such as erectile dysfunction and urinary incontinence.

Integrative medicine—which brings together the best of conventional medicine and natural therapies—can do a great deal to help you get through this time with less stress and fewer side effects, as well as helping you beyond treatment. Nutrition, exercise, mind-body techniques, herbal and other supplements, and acupuncture are just some of the approaches that can help you take a more active role in your cancer care.

The experts and faculty at the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine (AzCIM) have created this highly informative and interactive course for you. We encourage you to talk with your primary care provider, urologist, and/or oncologist if you have additional questions. We have also created an in-depth course for health practitioners. Although this course is primarily intended for men who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer, we also discuss risk factors, screening, and preventive measures that can help you or a loved one.
